Sled dogs:
Elskan - Her name means "sweetheart" in Icelandic. She is a 4 year old red and white alaskan malamute. At 130 pounds, she is the brute of our troup and considers herself the "Alpha" when the humans aren't around. Mearly due to her size! She tends to be a bit of a goofy airhead and a bull in a china shop. She is all play all day! She runs lead from time to time because of her pleasing nature and her strength. Elskan does single pull sometimes as well. The only downfall she has - she is the biggest BABY out of them all! And super chicken of loud noises.

Mauki - Short for Macchiato, Mauki is our foundation male. He is a 2 year old black and white Malamute. He weighs in around 85 pounds and don't let his face fool you, he is an absolute gentleman. He is the most gentle out of the "big dogs" as we get. Mauki aims to please and loves to spend time with the family. He can be timid and shy but if Katt asks, he will do anything she tells him to. He loves to run and hits the harness when time to go. He is running team now but we hope to move him to lead more often. He also does single pull with Eva and does really well with her. His downfall - if he doesn't know what to do, he just lays down and shuts down. Many a time, he will find himself tangled in the harness and simply just lay there and wait.

Boo - oh boo...our other newest pack member. Boo is a litter mate to Kitty and the runt of the bunch. She is a wooly Malamute. As a younger pup her coat was cream and now as winter came, it has turned blazing red. We will see what happens in the summer. Boo was given to us from the breeder due to her small size. Despite her small stalky self, she is an absolute doll. We call her the living teddy bear. She brings out the true "gentle giant" side to Malamutes. She is very pleasing, obedient and loving. At 10 months, she is the best puppy we have ever raised! Boo is definately the family favorite. Her current sled career shows promise as a wheel dog due to her stalky body structure but time will tell. She is definately the first Malamute we have ever considered letting live in the house with us!
Kennel Dogs:

Selah - She is a rare Icelandic Sheepdog bred from Greenstone Kennels in Canada. She is now 3 years old and has finally calmed down a bit! But Miss Selah is an absolute diva...don't mistake her for anything else! She is a very smart dog and loves to keep tabs on the kids. A game of fetch is what she lives for. She is Katt's constant shadow. Sweet and loving. Full of energy. And a diva.
